Aerotek Professional Services is proactively looking for candidates for an Insurance Analyst position with one of the financial institutions in the area. This position is in McLean, Virginia. The candidates must be an energetic, hard worker who is very customer service oriented. We are looking for candidates that have a background in property and casualty insurance. Familiarity with the mortgage industry is a plus. Attention to detail and ability to multi task are very important. Candidates must be proficient with computer applications skills including Microsoft Word, and Excel.
General job duties will include:
- Reviewing evidence of coverage to ensure compliance with investor and HUD requirements, updating servicing system with insurance policy renewal information, processing premium payments, following up with insurance agents for missing items, setting up insurance records on new loans, processing insurance loss drafts in accordance with procedures.
Responsible for maintaining evidence of hazard insurance coverage for FHA & GSE insured properties including responding to written and phone inquiries from
customers, insurance agents, and internal personnel regarding loans.
Functions include:
- Reviewing insurance certificates for compliance, working with insurance agents and borrowers on insurance deficiencies, processing premium payments, monitoring insurance claims, researching and analyzing problems and recommending solutions; conducting periodic audits of files and database.
