AARP driver safety class planned


Auto Insurance QuotesAARP will host a driver's safety class from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3536 YMCA Drive.

The four-hour course is designed for people 50 and older. An AARP membership is not required.

The course will show how to handle age-related changes in driving, such as reaction time, depth perception and driving on limited access roads such as the Houston Harte Expressway.

The cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members, with all materials provided. A valid driver's license is required to register, and an AARP membership card must be shown to be eligible for a discount. This is not an authorized course for ticket dismissal, but may qualify for a discount on auto insurance.
